We understand that many people are short on time, but want to help animals. Here are some ways you can help make a difference in the lives of our area's homeless pets:
Volunteers are needed for daily care of our cats at our Adoption Center at Marshfield Mall. Duties include providing fresh food, water and clean litter boxes daily. Spend time with each cat individually to help them become more adoptable by socializing, petting and grooming. A minimum of 2 hours/day (Morning 9am-11am or Afternoon 4pm-6pm) with an obligation of at least 2 hours/week is required for this task. Must be 18 years or older.
This is a non-animal handling volunteer opportunity. We need help with laundry (washing, drying, and folding), cleaning (sterilizing dishes, litter boxes, carriers and other donated items) and housekeeping (move furniture/cages to vacuum, clean, and mob). Outside work includes mowing lawn, trimming and snow removal.
Volunteer duties for both mornings and evenings include providing food and water to our pets, cleaning and sanitizing cages/kennels, following proper safety protocols for sick and injured pets, laundry, housekeeping and other duties as assigned. A minimum of 2 hours/day with an obligation of at least 2 hours/week is required for this task. Anyone interested in working with the animals must attend our volunteer orientation. Must be 18 years or older.
Drivers are always needed to transport pets to and from their spay/neuter surgeries. We host many fundraisers throughout the year. Help is needed to distribute posters and other tasks to make these events successful!
